Jeanne Rager is a watercolor artist from Rockford, Illinois. This is the first time she has painted a Biblical theme. Jeanne is well known for her rural and western landscapes, and she has won hundreds of awards from the local to national level.
Upbringing: born in 1950, and raised by
a preacher father and artist mother... married young, started
a family early (four kids)... milked cows and worked a farm
for ten years... then finally at the age of 30... she became
interested in painting...
Art Education: self-taught... too poor
to afford art school... attended the art section of The Public
Library, graduated from The School of Hard Knocks, and is
a master artist of The Trial & Error Method.
Now: Jeanne has been suffering with a brain tumor and epilepsy for over ten years now. The tumor is not malignant, but she says it does cramp her style some, as she has now lost the use of one eye. But she can still paint, and The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is inspiring proof of it!
